Andrew
Moving every two years, Andrew grew up all over the Western Cape in South Africa. He was four years old when his aunty told him about missionaries that went all over the world and in that moment a passion for God ignited in his heart. Since then, he has served God in many ways, from giving lifts and serving tea, to ministering to the homeless, to leading cell groups and preaching. After graduating with an MA in Film Studies from the University of Cape Town, he pursued a career in teaching & lecturing with a two-year stint in South Korea. Then, through a series of fortunate God-instigated events, Andrew found himself in the animation industry as a writer-director, finally discovering that sweet spot where calling, passion and talent collide. In 2021, he co-founded Revelator – an animation studio aiming to serve children and family audiences with wholesome entertainment.
Callie
Born in South Africa but raised in Switzerland and the UK, Callie spent much of her youth disappointed and yearning for more. It was during her gap year that she met Christ and radically turned her life around. Prompted by a clear call from God, she forfeited a great University offer to join a mission’s training course with Iris Ministries in Mozambique. She then studied a Bachelor of Theology (maj. Psychology & Leadership studies) at Cornerstone Institute and worked with children at risk for a few years before starting an MSc in Child & Youth Care Studies at Strathclyde University. She has a missional heart and uses hospitality, friendship and teaching as a conduit for the Kingdom. She also feels a responsibility to disciple the next generation and has spent many years serving in children’s ministry.
Andrew & Callie met in 2013 on a plane (true story!). They have been married for eleven years, and have two character-filled children. They find parenting both very challenging and extremely life-giving, and are committed to raising their children with intentional faith. After living in Cape Town, Souh Africa for ten years, they moved to France where they now live and serve in their local church.
