GIVING

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few

We are in the incredible position of having no financial need at the moment — praise God. We are deeply grateful that, because our family is provided for, we are able to focus our time and energy on building the Kingdom of God and blessing the people and children around us.

There are, however, many missionaries in Europe who are in financial need. There is often an impression that, unlike Africa or Asia, Europe does not need full-time missionaries. This is a great misunderstanding. More than ever, Europe needs men and women who are willing to dedicate themselves fully to sharing the love and good news of Jesus Christ.

France has a population of over 66 million people, yet very few missionaries have devoted themselves full-time to ministry. The church in Europe also suffers because many pastors need to work part-time or full-time jobs in order to make ends meet. This inevitably reduces their capacity to disciple, support, and strengthen their congregations.

If you would like to support the work of missionaries here in France, consider supporting the work of the Association Évangile et Enfance (AEE) which works tirelessly to reach children with the good news of Jesus. There are over 11 million children in France and no more than 15 workers serving through the AEE. The need is enormous. Many churches are asking for training, outreach support, and evangelism events, but there simply is not enough manpower to meet the demand. Please pray that God would send more workers into the harvest field, and consider donating to support these faithful men and women who spend hundreds of hours — and often entire weekends — training others and sharing the gospel with children.

If you would like to support God’s work specifically in my region of the South of France, please consider supporting missionaries Edson and Paola De Melo. This Brazilian couple served for many years as missionaries in Francophone Africa before God called them to France. They have now been serving in this region for nearly two decades.

The spiritual ground here has often been difficult, and there were times when they were tempted to give up. Yet God’s call remained clear, and they continued faithfully – loving their community, serving the local church, and sharing the gospel with children. Today, they can testify to seeing real fruit as God answers many years of faithful prayer.

I can personally testify to how remarkable they are and how much they bless this region by equipping people like myself to share the good news with love, wisdom, and conviction among the children of France.

May God bless you and take care of your needs as you take care of the needs of His Kingdom!
